Magic Paper Studios Photo Booth Pop-up

There is a new Photo Booth Pop-up to watch and it’s coming to San Francisco June 11. At the time I am writing this there is only one spot available and a waitlist pending!

Magic Paper Studios invited me and my three kids - ages 6, 5, and 5 - to capture this beautiful phase of childhood in this coloring book style pop-up featuring all our favorite San Francisco landmarks.

If you look closely you will see the Palace of Fine Arts, the Sea Lions at Fisherman's Wharf, the Painted Ladies, China Town, the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and so much more. Kids are able to pose with a bike, trolley, chinese take out, a baggett, and more.

The props make it easy to get even the most distracted kids to either smile for the camera or hide their goofiness behind a map (just like a real tourist!).

The Magic Paper Studio team was fantastic! The studio was clean and the staff was able to maintain social distancing while still keeping the kids engaged. The shoot was efficient but didn’t feel at all rushed! Even with my three, highly energetic kids, the team was able to wrangle them and get photos with each child individually and even snuck in a family photo that took my breath away (which we were not prepared for as my husband and I were both in sweats)!

Magic Paper Studios is run by two amazing women - one profoundly talented photographer with a background in education and another with years of event planning experience who understands hospitality in every detail. They love storytelling and understand the importance of capturing the legacies of children and their families. With this project the images they have created invite you to tell your San Francisco story.

In addition to the Wanderlust pop-up, Magic Paper Studios has a ABCsons series that will tell the story of your child’s growth through the seasons using the alphabet - both the Wanderlust and the ABCsons backdrops are custom drawn for these sessions and there is nothing like them.

The bright airy images are nothing short of pure joy! If you can’t snag a Wanderlust spot I hope you will download their free ABC coloring book and find an opportunity to have Magic Paper Studios capture your child’s story in another way, because these images are precious!
