Staycation at the Lafayette Park Hotel
If you are looking for a great family staycation look no further than the Lafayette Park Hotel in downtown Lafayette! My family recently stayed there and got to experience all it had to offer. We loved late night and early morning swims in the heated pool and hot tub. I enjoyed the dry sauna there too!
The rooms were very spacious and beautiful. Our room was on the top floor and featured vaulted ceilings overlooking the pool. The hotel has many charming European details throughout. My daughter felt like a princess during our stay!
The onsite dining at The Park Bistro & Bar has options for the whole family to enjoy! My husband remarked that the calamari was the best he has ever had. I love that they have kid friendly options but also high-end choices for the parents. We were able to sit in a tucked away booth that made the whole experience feel intimate and relaxing. They also offer dining poolside so you can enjoy it while the kids swim.
Lafayette Park Hotel has an onsite spa for any relaxation needs too. We loved that it provided a great place for our family to spend time together, enjoy the East Bay scenery and feel transported to Europe all at the same time.

The Lafayette Reservoir- A perfect place for a family walk. The reservoir has a lovely 2.7 mile paved path around the reservoir and a castle themed playground along the path.
Johnny’s Donuts- My families favorite donut shop in the East Bay! Make sure to grab the maple bacon donut.
Susie Cakes- The best cake shop around! Grab a slice to eat at the Lafayette Park Plaza.
Gymboree- If you are traveling with your littles, make sure to try a class at Gymboree! Perfect for kids 0-5 years old. They offer art, open gym, music and more.
