You can find beautiful Bass Lake less than 4 hours from San Francisco and it makes the perfect getaway. The Pines Resort offers lakefront accommodations and so much more! Staying at The Pines Resort at Bass Lake is relaxing, convenient and perfect for families, couples or even a friend trip!
It is hard to beat the location of Bass Lake and The Pines Resort! Bass Lake and the surrounding area itself is a fun place to explore. We enjoyed the lake steps from our chalet. It is easy to enjoy any season at Bass Lake. If you are able to visit in the summer there are many water sports to enjoy! You’ll find nearby boat rentals, jet skis, kayaks and paddleboards. Bass Lake is a warm lake reaching 80 degrees in the summer so you’ll want to get in! The surrounding area is great for any outdoor enthusiast with hikes, fishing, rock climbing etc. If you get the chance to visit in the winter, The Pines Resort offers their very own ice rink.
Our favorite part about The Pines Resort is their variety of options for lodging. As a family, we enjoyed their cozy and spacious cabins. We loved the space we had in the two story chalet and used the patio and BBQ provided to have dinner looking over the lake. Many come with fully equipped kitchens, fireplaces, lake views and are pet friendly! If cabins aren’t your thing, The Pines Resort also offers hotel suites. These suites are spacious and beautiful! You’ll want to check out all your options including lakeside spa suits and the amazing executive honeymoon suite. Perfect for a couples retreat! There are dining options on site as well. Ducey’s On the Lake offers delicious meals overlooking the lake. We loved that you didn’t have to go far to enjoy a good meal. On site they also have Ducey’s Bar and Grill and the Pines Bar.
We enjoyed the surrounding areas close to The Pines Resort. Our favorite hike was Mono Trail for the incredible sweeping views of the lake. But we hope to go back as Yosemite is only 17 miles away! The Pines Resort offers the only Lakefront resort in the Yosemite area and is the perfect spot to stay while exploring what Northern California has to offer. You’ll want to add it to your California bucket list!
