Staycation at the Harbor Court Hotel in SF
Sometimes I forget how lucky we are to live so close to such an amazing city! It is nice to go for day trips, but it was even better to spend the night there! My Family enjoyed feeling like tourists and having extra time to enjoy San Francisco.
We were able to stay at the Harbor Court Hotel in San Francisco. You cannot beat the location with the views of the Bay Bridge. My daughter and I were able to walk the pier right across from the hotel and she loved watching the boats drive by. We stayed in the brand-new Skyline Penthouse Suite. This room has incredible views with floor to ceiling windows looking over the Bay Bridge and Embarcadero. All the rooms and the lobby were just updated in 2020 and they are showstoppers.
We also dined at the Ozumo restaurant that is part of the hotel which is a delicious upscale Japanese restaurant. My daughter enjoyed trying edamame for the first time! There were so many options we had a hard time deciding what to get! This restaurant would be great for a date night and is suited best for older children. For breakfast, we grabbed so food at the Ferry Building which is across the street! They had a variety of local and unique options.
Another highlight of the Harbor Court Hotel is that it is adjacent to the historic Embarcadero YMCA. Although it was not open for our stay, it opened in June and hotel guests have access to the facilities. It has an Olympic sized pool, gym equipment, classes, basketball court and more.
My three-year-old daughter might have liked the nearby playground the most. Located across from Pier 1 she could have stayed there all day! We took a picnic to lunch within the grass and then took advantage of the fenced in playground. They had play structures for a wide range of kids.
The Exploratorium, Pier 39 and the Aquarium of the Bay are also great kid friendly attractions nearby. If you are looking for a fun outing for your family, make sure to check out the Harbor Court Hotel.
